U.S. spot Solana exchange-traded funds pulled a record $188 million in net inflows during the trading week through Sept. 25, with all seven products in the cohort posting positive numbers, according to weekly figures shared by Solana's official account.
Bitwise's BSOL captured roughly $128 million of that total — about 68 percent — over the five-session stretch. Grayscale's GSOL followed at $28 million, with Fidelity's FSOL at $18 million. Morgan Stanley, VanEck, Franklin Templeton and 21Shares split the remaining $14 million across their respective funds. The simultaneous inflows across every listed issuer, including the more recent entrants, point to allocator diversification rather than concentration in any single wrapper.
What set the weekly record?
Friday supplied nearly half the week's intake. The seven funds together added about $87 million in a single session — the largest one-day figure since the products began trading — including $56 million for BSOL and $19 million for GSOL.
How concentrated are the flows in BSOL?
Bitwise's lead extends well beyond a single week. BSOL accounts for roughly $1.2 billion of the $1.6 billion in cumulative net inflows the group has attracted since launch, or about 76 percent. The fund's 68 percent share last week sat slightly below that longer-term proportion; the six competing products collectively took $60 million.
Spot ETFs let investors gain exposure to SOL through standard brokerage accounts, removing the operational burden of direct wallet custody. Net inflows measure new dollars entering the funds net of redemptions, and exclude secondary-market share turnover between traders. The seven-fund structure also gives allocators alternatives to Bitwise for exposure sizing and execution.
The Solana flows tracked a broader rotation across crypto ETF wrappers. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs drew about $2.4 billion during the same week, while ether products added roughly $690 million, according to CoinDesk calculations using Farside data.
Where does SOL trade relative to its high?
SOL changed hands around $119 during Monday's Asian morning session, still roughly 60 percent below its record near $293, according to CoinDesk data. The token has yet to revisit that peak even as institutional demand accelerates through regulated wrappers.
What is Alpenglow, and where does it stand?
The inflows arrived as Solana developers advanced Alpenglow, a consensus overhaul designed to compress payment finality from about 12.8 seconds to roughly 150 milliseconds — an 85-fold reduction in settlement latency. The upgrade entered the network's second public testing environment on Friday. A mainnet activation date has not been announced.
Alpenglow replaces the existing Proof of History and Tower BFT consensus stack with a streamlined architecture intended to position Solana for high-frequency payment and trading use cases. Reaching the second public test network marks a procedural step toward a validator vote on activation.
Watch the project's transition from testnet to production deployment in the coming months. Validator signaling on activation timing, and confirmation that the 150-millisecond finality target holds under live conditions, will determine the next leg of the Alpenglow rollout and shape how exchanges, custodians and ETF issuers price Solana's settlement guarantees over the coming quarters.
