US spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs bled $549 million in net outflows last week, according to SoSoValue data, as Ether funds closed in on their worst month since launch.
Ether ETFs accounted for $320 million of the weekly withdrawals, outpacing Bitcoin funds at $229 million. The figures mark a second consecutive week of losses for Bitcoin products and a third for Ether products.
The pace of exits slowed. The prior week, the two categories combined for $1.22 billion in net outflows — more than double last week's total.
How bad is October for Ether funds?
Spot Ether ETFs have recorded roughly $955 million in net outflows so far in October, more than in any other month this year. The monthly total already exceeds the combined weekly losses of the past two weeks.
ETH traded down 5% over the past seven days to around $2,433 at the time of publication, according to CoinGecko. Bitcoin dipped 1.3% to $82,783 over the same window.
Despite the withdrawals, both products remain in positive territory for 2026 year-to-date. Bitcoin ETFs hold roughly $259 million in net inflows since January, while Ether ETFs have drawn about $610 million.
Which smaller crypto funds lost assets?
Altcoin ETFs also posted net losses for the week, per SoSoValue:
- Solana (SOL): ~$26 million in net withdrawals
- Zcash (ZEC): ~$19 million
- Hyperliquid (HYPE): ~$18 million
- XRP: ~$1.8 million
- BNB: ~$285,000
The breadth of outflows across six separate token categories suggests the pullback reflects demand-side pressure on the ETF wrapper, rather than weakness confined to a single asset.
What happens next?
With roughly $45 million in additional outflows needed to push October past the $1 billion mark, Ether ETFs face a test of whether month-end rebalancing stabilizes flows or extends the streak into November.
