Outputs

  1. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $137 million on Wednesday, according to SoSoValue.

  2. Three-day Bitcoin ETF inflows totaled roughly $424 million.

  3. October net Bitcoin ETF inflows reached $111 million with two sessions remaining.

  4. The Federal Reserve held rates at 3.75%-4% while inflation remained above 2%.

  5. Ether ETFs lost $21 million on Wednesday, taking October net outflows to $1.35 billion.

U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $137 million on Wednesday, extending their daily inflow streak to three sessions and lifting October net inflows to $111 million with two trading sessions left, according to SoSoValue data.

How did the Fed decision shape ETF demand?

The inflows arrived despite a hawkish Federal Reserve decision. The central bank held its benchmark interest rate unchanged at a 3.75% to 4% target range, while Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation remained above its 2% target.

“With limited new direction from the Fed, Bitcoin’s near-term performance may depend more heavily on Treasury yields, dollar movements and broader risk sentiment,” Bitget analyst Lewis Huang said. His assessment placed greater weight on those external variables than on the unchanged policy rate.

The decision left the 3.75% to 4% range as the operative policy setting. Warsh’s inflation warning kept the central bank’s 2% threshold in focus, while Huang moved the market discussion toward Treasury yields, the dollar and broader risk appetite.

How much did the Bitcoin ETF rebound recover?

SoSoValue recorded roughly $424 million of inflows across the three sessions. The rebound followed nearly $774 million of outflows over the final two trading days of the previous week, when October’s cumulative net flow remained negative.

October remained negative through Tuesday before Wednesday’s inflow helped reverse the monthly position. The move had not erased the scale of the preceding outflows, but it changed the sign of the cumulative October figure.

The reversal carries more weight for allocation than one strong session alone. With two sessions left, however, the $111 million monthly position remains exposed to a rapid reversal as net demand or redemptions accumulate.

Three days of net demand altered the direction of the monthly figure without erasing the earlier redemptions. The $111 million position remains provisional until October closes, making the final two flow prints the next scheduled data points.

What did Bitcoin price and sentiment show?

Bitcoin traded at $79,848 at the time of writing, down around 1% over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index held at 51, or “Neutral,” for a second consecutive day.

The figures show that ETF demand did not translate into a broad improvement in crypto sentiment. Bitcoin funds gained $137 million on Wednesday even as the spot asset slipped, while the sentiment gauge retained its Neutral classification.

Why are Ether ETF flows diverging?

Ether ETFs shed another $21 million on Wednesday, taking October’s net outflows to $1.35 billion. Ether traded at $2,310, down 1.7% over the past 24 hours.

The product flows therefore diverged: Bitcoin ETFs returned to positive territory for October, while Ether ETFs remained $1.35 billion in the red. The figures record net demand for Bitcoin ETF exposure and continued net redemptions from Ether products.

The divergence sets a higher bar for Ether products. Wednesday’s $21 million withdrawal was small relative to the $1.35 billion October deficit, while Bitcoin products entered the final sessions with a positive $111 million position.

A related report said Bitcoin’s price bounce met resistance at the 50-day trend line ahead of the FOMC decision and earnings. That technical setback did not prevent Wednesday’s ETF inflow, which covered a separate measure of investor demand.

With two October trading sessions remaining, the next flow prints will show whether Wednesday’s $137 million Bitcoin ETF inflow extends the positive monthly position or reverses it. Ether’s $21 million Wednesday outflow will also test whether the $1.35 billion October deficit begins to narrow.
